Steve - You are my brother forever. I am so glad you came to know Jesus in a personal way. I am even more pleased that you are still serving Him. Your testimony is straight from heaven, and it will bless many. God Bless you bro. I love you and miss you.

    Cheers,
    Shawn

I got a flier today near the Taste of Chicago. Normally I would just throw the thing away, but funny that I decided to look up the website. I can relate to all your stories.

    United in Christ.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for this site and sharing your stories. I was just buying some chicken @ BBQ’s on Western in Chicago when I came across a flyer..LOL! Natalie, your flyer caught my attention because I felt like although I haven’t had a God encounter yet, I know I will soon. Bad habits are so hard to break, but I know I need to and most importantly I know I need to let go of many things, mostly anger. I recently moved back to Chicago to assist my mom with cancer from New Jersey where I was for the past 10 years. There I pretty much wild out, ( my mom was very strict & I am an only child), and grew further & further away from the church. So much that I know I didn’t recognize God anymore. Mind you, I was very active in the church in grammar school, (alter girl), college & high school - going on retreats, attending Mass..blah, blah, blah. I eventually started to question alot of things for the first time in my life, having been brought up a practicing Catholic. 16 years in Catholic school & there is still so much I don’t know about God. I’m workin’ on it though. I bought an easy-to read bible, (I need things simplified), and have started attending a great Bible-based church which talks about more than just attending church, going on retreats & buying new Bibles. I feel renewed and for the first time in my life I can honestly say that I am excited to get to know Jesus on a much deeper and grown-up level. Again, thank you to everyone who had something to do with this site & sharing your stories. Don’t ever doubt you ARE touching lives. I’m just one of them. I was just tryna get some chicken & came out w/ alot more. God Bless You All. ~d
